After dealing with industry heads for ten years, FC continues to dazzle the rest of us with attitude and grace. So, how does an education in Audio Engineering and International Law really prepare you to deal with Williamsburg fashionistas, egomaniacal prima donnas and shifty Thai tourist-trappers?
Apparently, pretty well.
FC traveled to Sweden with H&M in 2002, where she learned all aspects of the fashion industry, from visual merchandising to operating the business. After earning her degree in Audio Engineering & Production of Music at IAR in Manhattan, she left again to backpack across Europe. Diagnosed with EWS (Extreme Wanderlust Syndrome) upon her return in 2004, she has since explored India, Vietnam, Laos,Thailand,Cambodia (several times) & China.
These days, FC spends her time coordinating events in NYC, working on various projects with as many creative people as possible, performing with Spills as SvsF, traveling the world, and documenting the entire process all in efforts to raise awareness and gain momentum for her non-profit organization, Fighting for Futures..
feleciacruz just returned back to Nyc after a 5 month stint in Cambodia where she implemented photo classes, built bathrooms and polished up a learning center. Fighting for Futures next mission with begin in September 2010.
